District e-governance society ,yadgir is formed on 19/09/2014 under the chairmanship of Sri Manoj Jain IAS,Deputy Commissioner ,Yadgir. CEO,ZP and various district level officers are the members of the society.

The primary objective of the District e-Governance Society (DeGS) is to administer the implementation of e-District Mission Mode project in the district of Yadgir.It is considered expedient to provide the Society a legal entity by getting it registered under  The Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.
The important roles of society  :-
i. To provide improved services as well as to create an efficient delivery
mechanism for the District Administration at the District, Sub-Divisional
and Taluka levels and provide support for project implementation
ii. To facilitate and manage the back end computerization measures of
various Departments and the District Administration for various G2C
services identified for e-district implementation
iii. To ensure delivery of these services through the service delivery channels
established in the district like Common Service Centers
iv. To coordinate other components of the National e-Governance Plan at the
district level.
